Description

FULLY SIGNED JAIN & COMPANY LOGO!

Here is a very nicely iridized Jain ELEPHANT Vase with JAIN & the company LOGO molded into the glass!  I have a closeup of this in a photo.  There are 8-Crimps to the vase top.

India is a very religious country, Jain (a family name) was a follower of the Jain religion.  Elephants are sacred animals to most all Religions in India. It is the living incarnation of one of their most important gods.

The Satha (Swastika) is the Jain Company Logo, it was on their letterhead before WW2 right up to the day they closed.  This symbol dates back to the 2nd Century:  It was a Symbol of Good Luck, Good Fortune, Happiness.

I have shown all 4 sides of the vase so you can see the Elephant and its Trunk wrapping up and around.

Circa 1935.

~NO CHIPS OR CRACKS~
