About Us

Samantha Prince –

I have been collecting for nearly 20 years.  I love carnival glass vases and have an extensive collection of carnival, art and opalescent glass.  I understand the thrill of getting a new piece to add to my collection!!  Once eBay came along, I endeavored to share that thrill with other collectors by selling in that venue under the name “s-prince.”  Quite often, you can still find pieces being sold by me on eBay with no reserve auctions and a start price at 50 cents.

For those folks who don’t like to play around with the auction format, I started www.poormanstiffany.com and Antique Colors of the Rainbow.  I’ve sold at glass conventions, glass shows, and antique shows.  I’ve spoken at glass conventions and I love chatting about glass!

I believe in passing on the interest in carnival glass to future generations.  My son and daughter were always given a piece of glass for completing a grade in school with distinguished honors.  They were also both members of IRIDESCENT NATION. They each have wonderful collections (they are now in college) and I hope they will continue to add to them as they get older.

Mitchell Stewart –

I have retired from 50 years in the Entertainment Industry, where I was a Concert Promoter, Tour Manager, and Artist Manager (for recent Country Music Hall of Famer Bobby Bare and others).  I also have been a Talent Coordinator for more than 40 TV shows and/or specials and a licensed American Federation of Musicians Agent.

Personally, I have been collecting colored glass for 35 years, 25 of which I’ve been collecting Carnival Glass.  I have been selling glass on eBay as seller “linedlattice” since 1997. For many years, I’ve not only sold glass at various venues, conventions and shows, but, I give glass as gifts to my family members, business associates and kids.

I collect carnival glass donations, at the various conventions I attend, for IRIDESCENT NATION, a Carnival Glass Kids Club, that helps young collectors discover and learn about Carnival Glass. To find out more about Iridescent Nation please go to the club website: www.iridescentnation.com.

I am active in the carnival glass community, a member of various clubs and a Director of the International Carnival Glass Association and a former Director of the World Wide Carnival Glass Association.

Because we’ve been handling, buying and selling this glass for so many years, we have a good idea as to what is unique about a piece and what a piece is worth.  www.carnivalglass.com represents the combined efforts of Mitchell and myself to bring you the beautiful and often unique examples of glass for your collection!  It is also the evolution of Samantha’s website: www.poormanstiffany.com.
