Description
“I CALL THIS GOLDEN LOTUS”
Here is a very nice iridized INDIAN Carnival Glass Water Pitcher. I have talked/messaged with a few Carnival Glass Collectors about the Pitcher, we have not seen it and we do not know the exact maker. Thus I gave it a name…GOLDEN LOTUS. And, I will attribute this to Jain or maybe Advance Glass Works.
You will notice that this is more than likely a Special Order Item for the Pattel Family…we do not know. I reached out to some Patel’s (US spelling) who live here, they were going to check with family members who live in India…I have not heard back.
I have shown all 4 sides of the pitcher so you can see the graphics. This is Marigold and Satin Glass with Golden graphics and Marigold iridized base.
I feel safe in calling this an “only known” item at this time. There are a few Water Pitchers with color and bases like this (Phil & Mary Leddy have some) but they, too, have no known maker.
Circa 1930+-.
