Here is an amazing antique Loetz piece! This is Olympia and it is wonderful! I have a nice collection of Loetz and early iridescent glass pieces and this is unlike any of them!
The enamel painting is amazing in art nouveau design! Reminds me of Moser or Harrach work! As you can see it is well intact.
The iridescence is as typical on the Olympia pieces showing some pale matte pinks, purples and golds.
I’ve not seen this shape before. Polished smooth pontil. Unsigned. Looks like it used to have a gold rim… you don’t miss it.
This does not glow under a UV light.
Made in the mid to late 1890s.
