Description
RARE INDEED!
You just don’t see these! This is an aqua opal Northwood Grape & Cable bon bon and it is STIPPLED! This is quite a rarity! Probably only 3 to 5 known.
The opal is alluring here… strong on the sharp saw teeth and brilliant as it mixes with the heavier aqua colored glass on the handles… almost looking Persian blue there! Very interesting!
The iridescence is primarily golden as you can see, but with the aqua colored glass, this yields a very cool effect!
Something weird like ash or something in the base with a little line through it. Has always been there — manufacturing flaw.
Made in the early 1900s.
