It was a darker day so the base color looks darker in the photos than in person but it is definitely a smokey ambery horehound color to my eye. When it is sitting on my kitchen island you can see yellow amber in the tip areas so amberish horehound, it is. You can call it as you see it.
The iridescence is stunning… even some green iridescence which is curious!
Glass color as I said is odd, rarer, the base has a smoke or ambery horehound color to it. Stippled versions aren’t reported in this smoke color but they are in the non-stippled.
