BIG BUTTERFLY!
Here is a Big Butterfly (aka Egyptian Butterfly) hatpin in Black Amethyst Carnival Glass! The iridescence on this is dark on dark glass. I think it could be brighter by cleaning it with something that takes oxidation off and then using a soft cotton cloth to polish it…but I am not sure.
Very cool piece! Back side of most Hatpins is Factory ground side has typical but very slight nicking if any.
Made in the early 1920’S.
