This is phenomenal! Look at this iridescence! Could it be better?! NO WAY! I have had this in my collection for 10 years now and hate to give it up but am so strained for space that I have to choose some things and anyway it does my heart good to share these wonderful pieces!
So this bowl is the more unusual round and spat footed bowl. The iridescence is spectacular! You can’t find better in this combination! The center is blazing with magenta and there is SO MUCH BLUE everywhere else! Some glorious yellow woven in too!
Hands down the best!
Look at the mould strike too! If you can see the texture of the dragon and the central peacock feathers in detail, then you’ve got a top notch pressing!
Note on spat footed bowls there are prunts underneath… and I don’t know how they ever get chipped but they tend to (many think this is from the factory as regular use in a home wouldn’t touch those). Regardless, 2 prunts have nicks and the one foot has some annealing openings as shown. Green glass tends to have some excess dye in them and this bowl has some of that too.
Buy pretty glass!
