WELL WELL WELL!
… what do we have here? I purchased a rose bowl collection over 10 years ago and it is time to start letting some of them go. Here is a SMOKE, YES SMOKE, Fenton’s Flowers rose bowl. I see only 2 prices reported, one in 1994 and one in 2013.
I want to point out that this rose bowl is very cool in shape too. The points are a little higher than typical and there are flat areas in between each scallop. This is not the norm but is like this because of the scallops pointing higher.
Sits with no wobble – as you know pieces with feet are vulnerable. This rose bowl has a flake on one toe. You can see it in several photos.
Numerous bubbles in the glass, particularly the legs. None have burst.
This is SMOKE. No doubt about it. If you are seeing a hint of lavender it is only from the iridescence dripping down by the collar.
Made in the early 1900s.
4 7/8 inches top diameter
4 3/16 inches tall
