Description
GREEN GREEN GREEN!
When do you see these in green, really!?
Here is a nicely iridized FENTON Floral and Grape. It is not Dugan’s version. How do I know? On the Dugan version the flower has a smooth center, and the horizontal lines border the slanted lines. As you can see here, this tumbler has no borders along the slants and the flowers have bumps or a texture in the middle. Also, the Dugan tumbler has a very small amount of area above the pattern to the rim edge, whereas Fenton’s is wider. We have a Dugan version up on the site, so feel free to look!
Colors here are quite nice for green carnival glass!
As I look at this Fenton Floral and Grape tumbler and compare it to the Amethyst one I have sitting next to it, there are some differences with the patterning. One I guess is a variant or an earlier version. No idea which.
Made in the early 1900s.
