WILD ROSE

A nicely shaped Shell & Wild Rose Green Opal Candy Dish.  This is made from the same mould as the Nut Dish.  The reticulated edge or lace edge is flared out to make the candy bowl.  This edge is shaped like an Inverted Heart.  This version has the Plain interior.  It sits on 3 Scroll Feet and has a small ring inside the feet.

This is the older mould with the ring on the base that almost always has minor nics to the pronounced ring…I am certain that this is a mould sticking problem.  1. the Ring is protected by 3 feet, 2.  they changed the ring out later to a collar type.

The Opal versions pre-date the Carnival Glass ones where we see the 2 different bases.
