Description
WONDERFUL SHAPE!
Here is a card tray! It is antique Northwood opalescent glass! Opalescent glass was a precursor to carnival glass and it is very cool!
What do you look for in this type of glass? Good fire! You can see that as the sun hits the opal!
This is not a reproduction. Reproduction Opal Open pieces have a filled in stem.
Slight bit of dirt in the glass as per typical of dirty factory-made glass.
This shows up in an 1899 Northwood catalog!
Made in the late 1800s – early 1900s.
