~A BEAUTIFUL IRIDESCENCE ON PURPLE GLASS~
These Miniature MORNING GLORY Tankard Pitchers were made by Fenton for a couple of American Carnival Glass Conventions in different colors. Here is the one for the 1988 Convention in New Philadelphia, PA. And is signed on the base with this info. They were made exclusively for this club and therefore not many were made.
This one has as good or better iridescence than I have seen on this item. It is a nice and dark and covers up the Purple Glass. The colors are simply gorgeous on this piece!!
Made in 1988. There were 215 made in this color…a 100+- less than normal.
