Here is a wonderful piece of early carnival glass… unsigned, early Imperial Glass! The pattern is CLASSY and called “Columbia.” This typically comes in other shapes… a compote or a plate but HERE it’s been WHIMSIED into a FABULOUS vase!!
Everything about the shape of this vase is GORGEOUS!! The iridescence is typical of Imperial’s Green … SHINY SHINY SHINY with LOTS of GOLD so you can appreciate the lovely green glass underneath with little or no interference! Note there ARE some OTHER colors visible on some of the panels on the sides!
Check out the neat way the top is ruffled! Really quite a dignified vase!
Made in the early 1900s.
SUPER ANTIQUE IMPERIAL CARNIVAL GLASS!!
