WELL WELL WELL!
Here is a DOUBLE STAR TANKARD… water pitcher… super straight up! You don’t see these very often so if you want one, grab this one! This was made by Cambridge glass and it bears the NEAR CUT lettering on the bottom interior.
Wonderful pattern here… so elegant and interesting to look at! This comes from my personal collection!
SUPER SHINY! As you can see lots of gold and silver with a little bit of pink and blue here and there. The gold varies in color giving depth to some areas. Handle has lightly sprayed blue iridescence on it.
No chips (which is rare on pitchers this old). Here is my overly critical report: Small surface scratch near top on one side as shown. Also a slightly deeper scratch underneath where the top part of the handle was applied. These are NOT cracks! Likely the one under the handle happened when it was made. Tiny fleabite on the side of the handle. Really insignificant stuff to mention for something so hard to find but I have figured these anomalies into the pricing.
Made in the early 1900s.
