NICE RED AND STRETCY RIM**SWEET!
Here is a SUPER nice Red pattern glass piece by Fenton. In the 1995 catalog, this 6-ruffle Compote is called a #2926 RN Nut Dish. There is a small 1/2 inch band at the top on the exterior that is Stretch Glass. And, 3/4 inch on the inside of the top rim too. The interior is Plain. I do not know the common name of the exterior. The small Swirl pattern knob on the stem is a nice touch. All in all, this is a really nice item.
I have seen a few of this item…NONE had this Stretch Effect…This item came from the Elliott Treby collection. I can see why he choose it…lots of visible Blue iridescence on the exterior. Signed Fenton 9 in an Oval and has a Paper Label.
